I came over to Australia on a business class long stay visa (Subclass 457) in January 2009, having secured employment with a global giant in Energy and Automation technologies. My wife, Bervily joined me in February 2010. I was introduced to Julie Williams of Migration Downunder at the end of 2010 following the acquisition of our organisation by Schneider Electric. Migration Downunder assisted with the transfer of our 457 visas to Schneider. This transition was seamless and the transfer was completed in next to no time.
After three and a half years living in Australia, Bev and I decided we wanted to stay here permanently due to the vast opportunity this country provides. We had also decided on having a baby and Australia provided the best environment for the whole family to thrive. Going back to Migration Downunder was a no-brainer for us judging from our past experiences with them. Julie took up our case for Permanent Residency and we could not wish for better service.
Migration Downunder assisted us in putting together all the documentation for the application and acted as an interface between us and the immigration department. We welcomed our daughter Naledi into the world before the finalisation of our residency application. Migration Downunder assisted us in adding the baby onto our application. Our Permanent Residency visa was granted in February this year.
The PR has given my family certainty for our future and has unlocked vast opportunities for us, including accessing loans for housing, access to top of the range educational facilities at subsidised rates, better health facilities and the platform to contribute to the continued growth and success of Australia. We feel honoured to be part of the Australian story. We are looking forward to attaining our Australian Citizenship next year and we are certain to call on Migration Downunder for their unparalleled service.
