My name is Tony Yao. Initially, I am from a very beautiful city – Suzhou in China. I have been working in Schneider Electric for 9 years as an SAP expert. Before that, I worked for Samsung Electronic China for 3 years. I have taken over 150 flights in the past few years for a global project in my current company. I visited many countries like India, France, Singapore.
Never forget that day, 01 June 2008, my 30th birthday, also my first time landed on this big island – Australia. Travelled to Sydney for a year then to Adelaide.
When and why did you make the decision to live here permanently?
In August 2011 I relocated from China to Australia through company internal transfer. November 2011, my wife Fu Lu and my son Jingwen came to Australia too and we settled down in Adelaide. We got PR in April 2013 with help from Migration Downunder.
We like the sunny beaches, delicious foods, fresh air and friendly people here. We are enjoying Aussie life, we go to Central Market every Saturday for the fresh foods.
What are your future plans in Australia (Work, family – maybe bring your parents to live here,…)?
Our plan is to buy a house and have a second baby in the year of Snake.
